NFL Betting - Bengals Will Go Back to Back in the AFC North

History has told us that the AFC North is one of the hardest divisions in the NFL. Well, football betting fans, this year won’t be any different.
NFL Odds To Win AFC North
- Cincinnati Bengals +275
- Baltimore Ravens -115
- Pittsburgh Steelers +210
- Cleveland Browns +1500
Right know the oddsmakers have the Baltimore Ravens as the favorites to win the division. However, it doesn’t look like a sure thing to me and it could be a better line than just picking the favorite.

When the Ravens signed the WR Anquand Boldin, the team immediately became a passing team with great backs; I mean Ray Rice will get a lot of load, but in the end, the ability to make crucial plays will lean on Joe Flacco hitting Boldin or Derrick Mason on a third down.
I’ll bet your thinking, oh man, with this new offense and the amazing defense that the Ravens always have, this is an easy bet. Well think again, because their defense is not as strong as people think.
The cornerback Domonique Foxworth is out for the season with a knee injury and also the CBs Lardarius Webb and Fabian Washington are returning from injuries and their level might be questionable. Not to mention that safety Ed Reed is coming off hip surgery.
In a few words, their secondary is their question mark.
What I’m saying is that I rather make a bet on the Bengals. Let me explain.
I know history does not lean on their side, because since 1981 and 1982, they haven’t had back to back winning seasons.
But the thing is that Cincinnati has a really good defense that was among the ten best in the NFL last season with a great secondary that barely allowed 18.2 pts in 2009.
The problem with the Bengals last season was that they couldn’t pass the ball. Right now they have more weapons than anyone: Chad Ochocinco, Antonio Bryant, Andre Caldwell, Matt Jones, Jermaine Gresham, Jordan Shipley and Terrell Owens.
Carson Palmer has options, A LOT. If this league has become a passing one, it is hard to find a better receiving roster than the Bengals.
I’m leaving Pittsburgh out this conversation because of the Big Ben Roethlisberger situation and I’m leaving the Browns out too because the Cleveland situation… they are what they are, don’t blame me.
My point is, right now because the line is favorable the best bet is the Cincinnati Bengals. Think big to make a lot of money.
