With the Wild Card betting games over the focus now switches to the final eight teams remaining and NFL betting Predictions in the four weekend games.
There are a couple of Division Rivalry games on tap, a severe underdog that proved us all wrong last week and a game that should provide us with the eventual NFC Champion.
Baltimore at Pittsburgh (-3): Total – 36 ½ points: Saturday, 4:30 PM ET, NBC

For the eighth time in three years, the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers meet – it is the second time in three years these two teams have met in the playoffs! If there is one thing that we know, it is going to be a close game – both teams hold a victory against each other by three points this season and three of the last four games between the two have been decided by three points.
The Ravens have proven to be playoff road warriors under John Harbaugh. They are 4-2 SU in enemy territory in their last six playoff dates. This game will likely come down to whose quick, short passing game can out – do the other. The running games won’t be able to generate much and the wide receiver position is awash.
I like Ray Rice to be the difference. His ability to catch the ball out of the backfield is much better than Rashard Mendenhall’s. That’s about the only tangible difference between the teams and that is enough for me to pick the visitor. Also, the visiting team has won both games between the sides this season.
The Ravens and the Steelers averaged a total of 27 points per game this season and the Total is currently set at 36 ½. I am taking a shot on the Under in this contest as well.
BetUS Sportsbook NFL Predictions: Baltimore Ravens +3 and the Under
Green Bay at Atlanta (-2): Total – 45 ½ points: Saturday, 8:00 PM ET, NBC
In what is sure to be the best game of the weekend, the Hot Green Bay Packers will try to avenge a last second field goal loss to the Falcons in Atlanta in Week 12. Atlanta used a goal line fumble by the usually reliable Aaron Rodgers in that game to propel themselves to victory.
The Atlanta Falcons however are being led by Matt Ryan who has lost only two times in three years at the Georgia Dome. At home, Ryan, Michael Turner, Roddy White and Tony Gonzalez will try to do something that the Eagles offense could not – sustain drives and score enough against a stout Green Bay defense.
Green Bay looks like a team of destiny right now and although the Georgia Dome is a nasty place to visit, the City of Brotherly Love is no picnic and the frozen tundra of Lambeau isn’t all that fun in January either. I think that the Packers play mistake-free football on their way to an upset of the home warriors Atlanta.
BetUS Sportsbook NFL Predictions: Green Bay Packers +2
Seattle at Chicago (-10): Total – 40 points: Sunday, 1:00 PM ET, FOX
The Chicago Bears host the Seattle Seahawks in a game to determine who will play for the NFC betting Crown. The Hawks proved us all wrong last week. Will they have the some magic left this week?
The Seattle Seahawks only won twice on the road this season and Chicago is one of the visiting stadiums in which they prevailed. Back in Week 6, the Hawks shocked the Bears 23-20. Seattle is currently playing their best football of the season although their two straight wins have come in the friendly confines of Qwest Field.
Chicago has won seven of their past nine games and earned their bye honestly. The question in Chicago is – which Jay Cutler will show up on Sunday? The sporadic, interception prone, panic stricken turnover machine or the calm, collected and effective Jay?
The fact remains that Seattle is a bad road team and that their offense and defense are at or near the bottom of the NFL in most statistical categories. However, to think that the Bears are going to run away with this game could be a little ambitious. I love the Bears to win but I also like the newly confident Hawks to stick around in this game. There`s nothing more dangerous than a team that is playing with wreck less abandon and appears to be having a blast like Seattle is. Chicago wins but the Hawks cover!
BetUS Sportsbook NFL Predictions: Seattle Seahawks to cover the 10 points
NY Jets at New England (-8 ½): Total – 45 ½ points: Sunday, 4:30 PM ET, FOX
The New York Jets claim that they wanted to see the Patriots in the playoffs. I am not sure about the logic but I am sure that New York will be fired up for this contest. The Patriots are the AFC betting favorite to win the Super Bowl with good reason – they are efficient, explosive and experienced at quarterback and in the coaching ranks.
The Jets won the first matchup of the season in Week 2 when they defeated the Pats 28-14 for only one of two losses that New England suffered all season. The Pats avenged that loss with a 45-3 beat down of the Jets in Week 14.
This game is going to come down to the Jets inability to score and the Patriots inability to stay out of the end zone. New England Patriots has not scored less than 31 points since Week 7 and has faced such defenses as the Jets, Chicago and the Packers along the way. Also, the Pats are taking care of the ball and enter Sunday`s game with a staggering +27 turnover ratio.
The only way to beat New England is by matching them point for point and I don`t think that the Jets have the firepower to hang with the rested and motivated Pats.
